1. Data controller

The data controller for the BresciaTicket platform is identified, with full details, in the Privacy policy.

Email: privacy@bresciaticket.it

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user's device (computer, tablet, smartphone) during browsing. They are used for several purposes: making the site work, improving the browsing experience, collecting statistics or showing targeted advertising.

3. Cookies used by this site

The site bresciaticket.it uses exclusively technical cookies, necessary for the operation of the site and the management of sessions. We do not use any profiling, advertising or analytics cookies. To be precise: some of these cookies are persistent, meaning they stay on the device after the browser is closed, for the duration shown in the table.

CookiePurposeWho receives itDuration
PHPSESSIDSession: keeps track of the form being filled in, the chosen language, any account login and the protection against forged form submissionsAnyone visiting the site30 days
remember_me"Remember me": keeps you logged in without re-entering the password. It contains a random code, not the passwordOnly account holders (organizers and administrators) who tick the option at login. People who buy a ticket or register for an event do not receive it, since no account is needed30 days
bnq_sessIdentifies the table host in the group booking module, so they can find their table againOnly those who open a table in the banquet module30 days
bt_stripe_nudge_untilRemembers that the organizer dismissed the "connect Stripe" notice, so it is not shown on every pageOnly organizers, after dismissing the notice14 days

The language preference has no dedicated cookie: it travels inside the session cookie.

These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the Platform and do not collect information for marketing or profiling purposes.

4. Cookies and technologies NOT used

This site does not use:

  • Profiling or advertising cookies
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Matomo, etc.)
  • Tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, etc.)
  • Device fingerprinting
  • Cross-site tracking
  • Third-party cookies for marketing purposes
5. Browser storage other than cookies

Besides cookies, the site uses the browser's local storage in a few places. These items are not used to recognise the user across different sites and are not transmitted to third parties.

ItemWhat it containsWhere and for how long
btJsErrSentA count of page errors already reported, so they are not reported twiceTab storage, cleared when the tab is closed
bt_event_quiz_v3Draft of the event creation form, so it is not lost on reload. Organizers onlyTab storage, cleared when the tab is closed
Check-in storeThe list of tickets for an event, including attendee names, downloaded onto the device of whoever runs admissions so the scanner works without a network connection. It stays on the organizer's or staff member's device and is not accessible to other visitorsOn the device, until deleted
HTML5_QRCODE_DATAWhich camera the QR code scanner used lastOn the device, until deleted

These are all technical functions: none of these items is used for profiling or to follow users across other sites.

6. Resources loaded from other servers

Almost all of the site is served from our own servers: the UI framework, the icons, the typefaces, the code and the images are hosted by us. We use no external CDN for these resources and we do not use Google Fonts, so no visitor data reaches Google when a page loads.

Two cases remain in which the browser contacts an external server:

ResourceProviderWhenWhat the provider receives
Map imagesOpenStreetMapWhen an event page opens, if the organizer enabled the map and the event has coordinates. No interaction is required: the images load on their ownIP address, browser type and referring page, needed to deliver the images. No cookie is set
Payment pageStripeOnly for paid events, when the purchase is confirmed: the browser is taken to Stripe's own site, where card details are enteredStripe's technical cookies are set on Stripe's domain, not on ours. They are subject to Stripe's privacy policy

No Stripe script is loaded inside our pages: payment happens through a redirect to Stripe's site. The "Directions" link, where present, points to Google Maps and opens only if the user taps it.

7. Why we don't show a cookie banner

Pursuant to Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code (D.Lgs. 196/2003) and the Italian Data Protection Authority's Guidelines on cookies (Order of 10 June 2021, no. 231), strictly technical and session cookies do not require prior user consent and are exempt from the consent banner requirement. Since this site uses only technical cookies and does not employ profiling, analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies, there is no need to display a cookie banner.

One clarification, because the point deserves to be stated rather than hidden: the map images described in section 6 are loaded from an external server, which means the provider sees the visitor's IP address. That is not, however, the storing of information on the device nor access to information already stored, which are the conditions that trigger the consent requirement under Art. 122: the map sets no cookie and writes nothing in the browser. Anyone who prefers to avoid this contact altogether can block third-party images in their browser settings; the page remains usable.

Should the Platform introduce analytics or profiling cookies in the future (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel), this policy will be updated and a compliant cookie banner will be introduced with the option to refuse as easily as to accept, in line with the Authority's guidelines and EDPB rulings.

8. How to manage or disable cookies
